L-am cumparat pentru ca eram satul de monotonia offroaderului 318i M10 cu cauciucuri 195/65 R15. O fi fost poate cea mai buna masina pe care am avut-o, dar vroiam din nou vapor cu 6 cilindri.
S-a ivit un 524td cu aer conditionat, geamuri electrice fata si niste poze mici misto pe autovit. Era tocmai la Timisoara.

Mers, vazut, luat, desi nu era atat de impresionant ca in poze. Pornea la sfert, tragea bine pentru un dizel de varsta lui. Era 1 Dec 2005.

A rezistat cu brio loviturilor luate in punte prin padure din cauza amortizoarelor duse, apoi unui mic impact in trafic, apoi unui mic incendiu in timp ce ma jucam cu antena electrica. Urmele se vad in poza de mai jos. Urata masina. Dar faceam km intr-o veselie, motorina se gasea ieftina, el consuma 6-7 la drum intins+ceva serpentine, cu AC pornit (Tulcea-Bicaz-Cheile Bicazului-Lacul Rosu-TgSecuiesc-Oituz-Tulcea)

Am reparat turbina si de atata energie s-a zburlit capota:

Mai 2007:
Montat si demontat cutia de trei sau patru ori intr-o zi, ca sa scap de huruiala la ralanti. Schimbasem cutia si tot facea urat. Dupa cateva combinatii de ambreiaje am gasit unul acceptabil. Oricum, vinovat era motorul, cred; sau faptul ca nu aveam volanta elastica.

Iulie 2007
Concediu pentru vopsit masina.
Facusem rost de piese necesare (aripi fata, usi dreapta, capota tot naspa) si ne-am apucat de treaba. Dina pacate n-au insistat bine la pregatire si a iesit un fiasco. Dar mai bine decat nimic. A peticit niste gauri la pedalier si un prag, dar au ramas alte locuri unde ar fi trebuit lucrat si acum sunt gauri...
Tata a facut gauri in aripile pe care le gasisem, ca sa pun semnale laterale. Unul luat nou altul existent.

Am frecat la roti de mi-au iesit ochii. Dati-mi o idee cum sa fac sa le lustruiesc mai rapid (ceva pus pe bormasina?).
Vreau doar sa le dau luciu metalic, fara sa vopsesc/lacuiesc. Cel mult as vopsi negru mijlocul rotii si interiorul spitelor.

Apoi, ca o facusem sa arate cat de cat a masina au urmat chestiile importante:
Arcuri noi pe spate, amortizoare noi fata spate, cauciucuri noi, brate fata noi, bucsi punte spate si diferential noi, covorase noi, parbriz turcesc nou etc etc

A trebuit sa aman cumpararea cateva zile, ca in ziua respectiva a ars var'miu si am ramas sa ghidez ambulanta prin traficul din oras, nerabdator sa-l vad si sa mai schimb macar o vorba cu el. Apoi o vreme nu prea am mai lucrat la masina. Bine ca a scapat varu'.

In fine, dupa cei 50-60 mii km pe dizel am schimbat motorul.
Chinul schimbarii.... Interceptor a fost nevoit sa ma suporte mult mai mult timp decat promisesem. Am mutat tot ce-i sub caroserie de la masina veche la mine:
- ansamblu suport pompa benzina si filtru, inexistente la caroseria de dizel. Decupat din masina donoare.
- suport carcasa filtru de aer, decupat din oala masinii donoare.
- punte spate
- rezervor (tzeapa, "noul" rezervor e fisurat)
Astea de mai sus le-am mutat aproape singur in WE-uri, operatia pentru fiecare nu dura mai mult de o zi, ca sa am masina functionala in continuare. Intre timp am mai lipsit 2 saptamani, plecat cu serviciul.

Pentru mutat motorul cu toate cele mi-am luat concediu o saptamana, in cateva zile a fost gata iar a doua zi am fugit cu el 300km pana acasa.
Am ajuns, m-a vazut tata: uite a venit tractoristul. Asa un ranjet larg mi-a starnit biggrin.gif dupa care i-am dat vestea, tractoristul nu mai e tractorist. Lui ii placea dizelul...

Prima data cand am apreciat un plastic in plus pe masina biggrin.gif

Odata cu "noua" fusta de benzinar facelift am pus si aparatorile de noroi din fata rotii. Nu prea am vazut la E28 pana acum asa ceva smile.gif Sunt forate bune ca apara de noroi semnalele, proiectoarele, spoilerul, tragerul. Initial am vrut sa le confectionez in timp ce vopseam masina, dar nu alesesem un material potrivit, apoi din lipsa de timp am renuntat. Astea OEM se pupa doar cu fusta facelift, altfel trebuiesc decupate putin.

Pai intre timp a mai primit nimicuri: proiectoare Hella noi, chederele care tin sa nu intre apa in usa cand ploua...
Am dat jos aerul conditionat pentru ca nu-mi placea consola centrala cu AC si nu mi-am mai facut timp sa montez compresorul de benzinar (dupa ce am facut schimb - dat compresorul de M21 pe compresor de M30). Cum masina o foloseam rar in timpul zilei, nu aveam nevoie prea des de AC. De obicei mergeam cu ea seara/noaptea, la drumuri lungi.


Si au urmat peripetiile din 2008:
- in iulie am zburat in camp. Era noapte, pe drumurile din sudul Dobrogei, slab semnalizate la acea vreme (Calarasi-Vama Veche). Cateva minute mai devreme a fost o faza tare cand m-am bagat in depasirea unei carute cu fan, pe inserat, aparent linie dreapta. Imediat dupa ce am depasit-o am vazut ca fanul ascundea indicator de curba deosebit de periculoasa, 90grade.
Mai apoi, tot gonind singur pe soseaua serpuinda, intru cu vreo 120 pe o curba larga la dreapta, vad indicator banal ca ar urma o curba la stanga, parea sa fie si ea destul de larga, dupa care soseaua dispare brusc la stanga, dupa un mic varf de panta. De teama sa nu ma rastorn aleg compromisul: tot inainte se vedea drum spre camp. Am plonjat, dar drumul ala nu era lin, la iesirea pe asfalt patinasera tractoarele, facusera o groapa si un damb, urmat apoi de un mare pietroi. Am evitat pietroiul cat am putut. Caroseria a luat totusi un soc zdravan, se cam vede la oala; roata s-a facut ca in poza, cauciucul piscat in 4 puncte. Am schimbat roata si-am plecat incetisor... Apoi am vazut ca era ok curba, se putea lua. Erau mai multe urme de frane pe-acolo, n-am fost singurul tembel, dar altii au oprit la timp se pare. Dupa un an am gasit indicator de curba periculoasa pus acolo smile.gif

Tot pe parcurs am mutat instalatia de check control pe masina. A fost ceva de munca, dar a meritat smile.gif Ultima etapa a insemnat tras de fire pana pe la 3 jumate dimineata.
