Burkhard Goschel este membru in consilul director al BMW. Recent, referindu-se la viitorul sistemelor electrice si electronice din componenta unui automobil, a declarat:

"The Chips are here to stay. [...] The electrification of the automobile is still in it's infancy. Next, we need to install a more powerful electrical system good for 60, 100 or even 150 volts. It's not just hybrid engines that require this kind of voltage, it's also new componentry. [...] Electric rear brakes, electric steering, electric body control, electric valvetrains and electric four-wheel drive. It also would make sense to replace differentials, driveshafts, and propshafts with electric wheel-hub motors".

S-ar putea ca, atunci cand vom fi aproape pensionari, sa nu mai intelegm mare lucru din automobilele acelor vremuri. Dar macar ne vom lauda ca, la masinile pe care le aveam cand eram tineri, nu prea ne puteam curenta mortal la 150V.
