la recomandarea unor meshteri bagasem cand s-o incepu vara in M20 meu 20w-50 de la HPX,lucru de care nu sunt dezamagit pt ca masina vede des 5000rpm la 35grade afara,dar in sept il schimb cel mai sigur cu unu semisynthetic.ca si branduri ma gandesc mult la aral/castrol/reprezentanta(desi la reprez nush daca 10w-40 e semisynthetic????)

as bate spre aral din simplul motiv ca e fabricat in germany,si e semi la un pret bun(20ron/L).
ce parere aveti ca am citit topicul si mai sunt multi cu M20-uri smile.gif

10w40 e semi sintetic... si 15w40 nu e sintetic.... deabia 5w40 e full sintetic. eu am castrol(adica am avut si o sa mai pun maine inca 3 litri). magnatec ala e bun. 370 de mii litru cam asa.. nu mai retin... 10w40 motor m20.

10w60 este fabricat sa-si pastreze proprietati optime de ungere in plaja de temperaturi ambientale de -25 .. +50 grade celsius.
Din cate am citit eu, singura modalitate de a pastra proprietatile de ungere al unui ulei la temperaturi joase si la temperaturi ridicate este de a folosi in componenta lui acele particole numite polimeri. Cu cat plaja de temperaturi pentru care se preteaza uleiul este mai mare, cu atat procentul de polimeri folosit la fabricarea uleiului este mai mare.
Din pacate, polimerii nu au proprietati de ungere, altfel spus, principala calitate al acestui ulei este de a asigura ungerea motorului incepand de la -25 de gade pana la + 50 de grade (temperatura ambientala), si nu ungerea motorului la temperaturi ambientale de 20-50 de grade in regim de RPM ridicat in majoritatea timpului de utilizare.
Daca sunteti persoane lenese, folosirea acestui ulei va scuteste de a efectua schimbul de ulei in functie de anotimp (daca iarna ar fi -25 de grade minim, iar vara 50 de grade maxim), sau daca vreti sa mergeti din Siberia pana in Spania fara sa schimbati uleiul.
Stiu ca pe vremuri uleiul Castrol RS 10w60 era recomandat de BMW pentru motoarele M, dar daca veti consulta un reprezentant BMW veti afla ca marca asta de ulei (chiar daca se fabrica in continuare sub acelasi nume) dpdv BMW a fost inlocuita cu alta marca de la Castrol.
RS-ul din denumirea de azi e doar un concept de marketing al Castrol, el nefiind folosit de divizia Motorsport a lui BMW. Ideea care a ramas ca "barfa" ca acest ulei e pentru raceri, e gresita dupa parerea mea. Vedeti mai sus explicatia cu polimerii. Eu daca stiu ca voi folosi masina pentru curse, RPM ridicat in marea majoritate a timpului as pune un ulei care are cei doi factori de vascozitate mai apropiati unul de celalalt (pentru a avea o cantitate mai mica de polimeri, deci pentru a avea mai multe elemente de ungere in ulei) si care sa se preteze pentru sezonul respectiv.
Adik, vara as folosi: SAE40, iar iarna un SAE 5W30 (pentru Bucuresti + drumuri la munte). Daca as sta la Intorsura Buzaului, probabil iarna as pune SAE 0W30.

Darren, o singura intrebare as avea: De ce fraierii de la Castrol scriu pe al lor 10W 60 "racing", acelasi lucru il scriu cei de la Mobil pe al lor 5W 50 etc.

Oare sunt 2 producatori atinsi de "barfe" ?

PS. Oare de ce ar costa mai mult sa-ti faci motorul "pilaf"? (Vezi diferenta de pret intre un 0W 30 si 10W 60, daca privim punctul tau de vedere)

Cei de la Castrol nu sunt fraieri ca scriu "racing" pe cutiile de ulei. Eu ma refeream la "acel" ulei RS, pe care l-am gasit in documentiatia de la BMW (unde am si citit ca nu mai e "ce-a fost" si ca BMW nu-l mai recomanda ca fiind BMW approved, chiar daca se va produce in continuare un ulei sub denumirea aia). O sa ma uit si o sa scriu exact.
Orice ulei care are plaja de temperaturi ambientale mai mare e mai scump decat cel fabricat sa unga in parametrii normali intr-o plaja de temperaturi ambientale mai mica. (Poate fi doar marketing, sau si costuri de productie mai mici, asta nu am de unde sa stiu).

Later edit: motorul poti sa-l faci pilaf si cu ulei bun, si cu ulei prost. Sau si cu ulei potrivit pentru zona de temperaturi in care folosesti masina, si cu un ulei bun de tinut in motor de la -25 la +50 de grade celsius. Exista o legenda potrivit careia , cu cat sunt acele 2 cifre din indicele SAE mai departate, cu atat uleiul e "mai bun". Asta vroiam sa subliniez, ca nu e "mai bun", ci doar e mai comod.

RS 10w60 e un ulei gros, io nu as pune asa ceva iarna in motor
Clasa de viscozitate "10" la rece nu prea corespunde unui ulei bun pt iarna.., "5" sau "0", da

Dar nu vorbim de RS, care a avut probleme (prea gros) si pe care nici io nu l-as folosi, ci de TWS, care e altceva

Gasisem undeva si specificatiile pt M50, iar 10w60 (generic, nu Castrol) era printre uleiurile noi aprobate..

Daca nu ar fi fost in halul asta de scump (dublu fata de un 5w40) as fi continuat sa pun Castrol 0w30

am si eu o intrebare... deci pentru iarna si vara sunt practic 2 tipuri de uleiuri nu? intreb ca nu stiu ce se intampla... iarna trebuie un ulei mai subtire pentru a-l taia mai bine nu? sau nu stiu despre ce este vorba... astept lamuriri... multam

Fa un test. Cumpara 1 litru de ulei 5w40 si 1litru de ulei 10w40. Tine-le in frigider vreo 6 ore. Daca tu reusesti sa-ti dai seama ca unul e mai gros (vizibil) decat celalalt, ok. tongue.gif

TWS e fostul RS (Da, TWS se pune in M-uri)
Vreau si eu sa vad pe cineva ca recomanda 10W60 pt motoarele M50. (Cineva = BMW, producatori de ulei care au produse "BWM approved")
Dupa cum ai vazut, Edge Sport 0W40 e "Castrol's best oil" pentru motorul tau.

Daca motorul ajunge sa fie atat de uzat incat folosirea uleiului specificat de producator devine imposibila, atunci nu mai are nici un rost sa te concentrezi asupra intrebarii "Ce ulei trebuie sa pun in motor ca sa-i prelungesc durata de functionare intr-o stare impecabila?" tongue.gif
