A fost produs intre 1992-1996, intr-un numar de 26483 de bucati! Motorul M60B40 V8 produce 286c.p. Viteza maxima 250km/h limitat electronic. Demaraj 0-100km/h 6.0s cutie manuala cu 6 trepte si 6.4s cutie automata ZF.
Au fost produse doar 3203 bucati de 540 cu cutie de viteze manuala cu 6 trepte...
Motorul M60B40, 3982cmc, are 4 supape pe cilindru, distributia pe lant si tacheti hidraulici. La inceput au venit echipate cu blocuri Nikasil, ulterior acestea fiind schimbate cu Alusil. In cazul in care motoarele au trebuit sa fie schimbate din pricina coroziunii, clientii au primit o garantie extinsa de 6 ani sau 160000km, motoare care bineinteles au fost schimbate cu un cost 0 pentru client! smile.gif
Consumul de combustibil se incadra in oras intre 14-17l/100km, iar pe autostrada intre 8-10l/100km.

Cine mai cunoaste detalii, sau a mers cu asa ceva, este rugat sa ne impartaseasca experienta lui.

domnu Rotti stiu ca a venit odata cand m'am nimerit si eu la circ cu un 540...nu mai retin daca era manual sau automat...poate mai completeaza si el aici cate ceva informatii ca ex sau actual proprietar de e34 540i

eu am testat o perioada un 540/94 automat (prin 2004/2005 parca)
masina avea multe multe optiuni, nici nu mai stiu ce, avea 100k km si mergea ceas. la vremea aia aveam baba si nu mi s-a parut deloc violenta comparativ cu ea. consumul prin bucuresti era cam 19 si la cam toate stilurile de mers. mi-ar fi placut sa fie manuala rolleyes.gif

din pacate in romania nu poti tine asa ceva, chiar daca ai lua-o gratis, in cativa ani (2-3) masina se mai plateste inca o data datorita impozitului.

Motoarele nu rugineau, Nikasilul reacţiona cu sulful din benzină şi blocul se mānca practic, īnsă nu era vorba de coroziune, nu ruginea blocul.

COROZIŚNE s.f. 1. Proces de alterare, de atacare chimică sau electrochimică a metalelor sub acțiunea substanțelor de natură acidă și bazică. 2. (Geol.) Eroziune a suprafeței rocilor sub acțiunea chimică a soluțiilor apoase. [Var. corosiune s.f. / < fr. corrosion].

Sulful din benzina ataca chimic metalul din care era confectionat blocul => COROZIUNE smile.gif

la ce modele vechi a aparut problema asta?sau decat la 540 blocurile erau din nikasil?si ce e nikasilu asta ?biggrin.gif

La M60-uri şi M52-urile fabricate pānă īn '98.

Din cate am inteles e doar un strat subtire cu care e tratat interiorul cilindrului de aluminiu. Dupa ce se mananca (corodeaza tongue.gif ), pierzi compresia intr-o veselie.

cilindrii. ca bloc e din aluminiu, trebuie un strat de ceva dur, aluminiu fiind moale.
